Calzedonia was founded in 1986, near Verona in Vallese di Oppeano. Calzedonia shops can be found in Spain, Austria, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Bosnia, Hungary, Cyprus, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Company’s headquarters in Vallese employs 400 young workers, mostly women. Calzedonia’s production centres are located in Avio, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and Sri Lanka. Calzedonia also takes active part in economic assistance for young people in the world. In 2003, Calzedonia released new brand - Tenezis. The brand also sells underwear, but contrary to Calzedonia and Intimissimi, Tenezis targets at younger people. This idea appealed to customers, mainly due to low prices.
